I am going to tell you something about myself that you may not know. I love fairies! They are whimsical, playful, fun and so much more. One of my favourite stories is Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream. I have read it many times.
When I envisioned my Terrain wall quilt, I saw Daisies. My favourite flower. That is what I carried down the aisle at my wedding. It took me a while to nail down the way I wanted them to look and when I did I felt the quilt needed something more. Enter fairy.
I am happy with how she is coming along. I see one glaring error on her, but am hoping it disappears as I work on stitching her down with hand embroidery.
Please excuse the picture, I took it at my desk during my lunch hour at work. I started to sew her hair, I think it is almost impossible to see in the picture, but it is there, really.
UPDATE: Completed Quilt here.
I am linking up with freshly pieced.
