Building a Cabin

I have mentioned a few things that have been keeping me busy.  Now it is time to share one more!  My husband and I are building a cabin!!!  Well, we are having it built to lock up.  We have wanted to buy or build a cabin for years and this year we finally took the plunge.  Here is our yard site.

WIP :: 06.06.12

I have been missing the blogging world, both sharing and reading.  Things are still keeping me busy at my end, but I have made some progress.

Progress Made

Flurry Wall Quilt

I finally made some significant progress!  I finished all of the applique circles.  However, when I looked at the blocks together something was missing.  After consulting with my consultants, aka: husband and 4 children.  I decided to add corners to each block, turning the quilt in to this:

I have two more rows to complete.  Here are the rest of the blocks waiting for me to work on them:

Farmer's Wife

I am slowly chipping along.  23 Blocks completed so far.

Nearly Hexagon Charm Quilt

I do not have any new pictures, but I only need about 60 more hexies basted before I can start to sew the top together.  Exciting:)

No Progress

Slipcover for couch: This project has taken me so long that one of the cushions is now wrecked.  I will continue to put this off and consider purchasing a new couch for the room.
Master Bedroom Curtains:  No sewing here, BUT the holes in the walls are almost repaired, which means I am closer to hanging my desired hardware.

I am probably forgetting some things, but hey, I am back in the game.  At least for this week....

I am linking up with Freshly Pieced.

Farmer's Wife Block 5, 25, 29

I decided to get a few more blocks done, I chose easy ones this time.  It was fun picking out simple colour combinations and sewing them up quickly:)
