Halloween 2012 :: wip

I am afraid my quilting will be slower than usual this month since it is October and for me, that means Halloween costumes!  I am working on my first one right now;  Don Cherry!  I bought a blazer pattern by kwik sew.  I was lucky enough to buy it while it was on sale.

Almost a year ago my oldest boy decided he wanted to be Don Cherry in 2012.  I immediately started watching for deals on 'loud' fabric.  Approximately 6 months ago I found the above.  Perfect.  I finally started to sew the jacket this week.  I have a few more things to do, finish the lining, hem the sleeves and bottom, add buttons and button holes.  I am loving it.

If you are interested in my family's costumes you can stay tuned, I will post them as they become available!

If you would rather look at some quilting wip, here is my hexie quilt.  130 pieces.

I am linking up with WIP Wednesday at Freshly Pieced.  There are always great blogs linking up, pop on over and check them out.
